Jacqueline is a self taught photographer who grew up in New England and eventually settled in upstate New York. She developed an interest in photography at an early age while assisting her mother, an amateur photographer. Jacqueline’s first published photos were in her high school literary magazine. Photography was her hobby for many years.

After retiring from a career in law enforcement, Jacqueline was able to focus more attention on developing herself as an artist. In 2017, she completed a six month mentorship with well known Martha’s Vineyard based photographer Alison Shaw. During this time, she identified the source of her creative vision and her artistic style.

Fine art depictions of nature, animals, landscapes and historic places are Jacqueline’s primary interest. She also enjoys promotional photography, shooting for websites, and food/travel photography.

Artist Statement

“These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it’s cold outside
Every moment I’m awake the further I’m away”

HEART, These Dreams

My dreams have always been my means of connecting to a spiritual realm. In my childhood, I was an intense dreamer – so intense that I often would wake exhausted, feeling that I lived another life when I closed my eyes at night. I grew up an only child, an “old soul,” with the ability to tap into deeper energies through my dream life. I have grown to understand that there are different levels of perception and different levels of being in our world. I understand now that energy lingers, and that some people are able to tap into this, while others are not.

As a child, I would dream of a black horse in the winter night, that would wait under my window for me to ride off on his back into the moonlight. It was my escape, my fantasy. In my adult years, my dreams are sometimes prophetic, a way to communicate with the “other side.” My adult dreams have foretold certain events in the news, and I have been contacted by unknown spirits to help their family on this plane. In this way, my dream world and waking life have collided.
